This item was purchased as a gift for our son who recently left to travel to Hong Kong and needed some type of carry-on luggage. Son was able to pack quite a bit into it, including his laptop and other electronics and has mentioned that it is quite comfortable to carry on his back. He's returning home in a month so will hold off until then to get his first-hand opinion as to its long-term usefulness, etc.
